I saw this and fell in love with it and knew it'd be a perfect summer sundress. Unfortunately, the sit is just okay. I ordered the large and it runs a tad big. I am 5'4" usually an 8 in dresses, but am always on the cusp of medium/large at Modcloth. I am an hourglass shape - DD boobs, small waist, and decent hips. I thought the banded waist would draw attention to the smallest part of me, but it's a tad big and the gathering at the lower stomach and hips adds bulk where I either don't normally have it (stomach), or don't need it (hips). I am also incredibly short-waisted, and as you can see this sits right under my chest so on ladies with longer torsos and larger chests, the seam would probably hit across the boobs. The sweetheart neckline is more pronounced on the website photo, but in person it's more modified. I think a medium would work better for me, so maybe size down if you're on the cusp. The back portion is that stretchy elastic fabric (just on the back of the back, not the skirt) and it's a different material than the front, so I think that may also make it lay oddly. I think for $90 the quality is a a bit low, and I think I will just return instead of getting a medium. So sad. :-

The fit is lovely, I usually wear a large or XL in modcloth. This fits the DD girls perfectly. I agree that the cotton in thin but I find this to be a plus as it is not see through, very flattering and actually thin is great for the sultry but sweltering nights in here in New Orleans.
