Bow'n For It Dress

When I turned 25, I celebrated for three days straight. I put aside an entire weekend, including Friday, and partied. My quarter century mark weekend culminated with a dance party DJ'd by a friend of mine at Pittsburgh's Brillobox. Oh yeah, I really went for it that year. I wore a marvelous dress, and though I still love that dress, I kind of wish this one had come into my life at that time. I mean, if anything is going for it, whatever that special "it" is, this dress goes for it and comes back with more. From the front, it's sweet and presentable with its rich, taffeta-like fabric flaring gently from the empire waist that's bolted by a simple ink-black band. However, the asymmetrical strap suggests something is different about this particular dress. Twirl it around, and you'll find that the strap's black bows grow in size in a sweeping crescendo. The back is perfected by a cunning silver zipper securing the left side of the split skirt in place. Unzip this and find that you can expand the skirt's wingspan, unearthing a peek of black tulle-netting over silky lining equipped with a puckered hem, adding as much volume as a pumping stereo. If only I had this dress then! I can imagine the dancefloor lights playing on the fabric's iridescence. Sheer black stockings and black velvet heels, or, if you're me, black high-stop sneakers, and a pair of sheer black gloves are the perfect finish.
