Black to Basics Dress
I do say, one can never have too many LBD's. And each of them are different, like this Max and Cleo number with a wide collar, cuffed cap sleeves adorned with epaulets, and a double breasted button up front. I love this dress for its vast-as-cosmic-black versatility, such as the option to wear a slim belt or cord through the loop in back or to leave the elasticated empire waist as is. I also adore its hidden side pockets, which can function as secret hiding places for crinkle wrapped candies or loose change. This is a perfect garment for brunch at a funky cafe or for work at the office, and it's a canvas for a twinkling brooch and a straw cloche, as well as for textured tights and red pumps. We forget how easy it is to be stylish, so we often drift away from the basics.
