When my great-grandmother came to America from a tiny town in Italy, she didn’t bring very much English with her, but she did come prepared with a slew of authentic recipes for treats like these delicate cookies. Like the elegant overlay of this vanilla dress, each cookie is adorned with beautiful, star-like floral patterns - a result of the intricately-designed iron used to press each pastry. Our family still shares pizzelles at parties and holidays, whether by plate or by mail, and I can’t wait to share pictures of myself decked in colorful tights, flats, a festive headband, and this half-sleeved frock, partaking in one of my favorite family traditions! - Anna, Fashion Writer
