The first thing I noticed when I pulled this dress out of the box was how incredibly light it was. While lightness is a good feature for a black summer dress to have, I worry about it ripping when I pull it on and off. The fabric feels silky, though still kind of synthetic (unfortunate), but the birds are adorable and pop really nicely on the black fabric. The waistband feels a little tight, but it's not uncomfortable, and if it really bothers me I'll have a tailor lengthen the elastic at the back a bit. While it is an adorable dress (and considering how thin the fabric is, it's not sheer, which is great), I do wish it was made of a higher quality material. I really like it anyway, and will be keeping it, but I'd say it's overpriced by about $10.

I just received the dress and i don't like it at all because the tissue is so thin, the waist is too high...a disappointment...but the other dress i got is SUPERB! sorry...

The dress is very cute and the fabric is silky and thin but I don't find the thinness unusual. It took my a lot of maneuvering to make the dress work. There is no elasticity to the cross straps in the back or the waist band. You will have to mash your breasts to get above the waist and it also took me trying on 6 different bras to find one that would work and not make me look deformed. But after all this, the dress was great! It has pockets which was a nice surprise as I did not know this when I bought it. The secret snaps to turn the dress sleeveless is a cute idea but as there is no a lot of give to the dress I found it hard to roll them up. I recently lost weight and just fit into the dress so if your measurements are larger then mine, beware, the dress has no give.
