I was very excited about this dress coming into production, but unfortunately it wasn't everything that I had expected. The material feels rather cheap and the zipper is of very poor quality. I am usually a perfect modcloth L and although it fit me perfectly everywhere else is was too snug in the hips, especially for the office. It is also too short for someone my height, but that could be remedied with a pair of good leggings. Usually this style is perfect for my hourglass shape (40-34-40) but the skirt is too straight down (although it has a little stretch) for my taste. This will be a return for me, but would be super cute on a petite person.

I thought this dress would be perfect for my new job (teaching), but I'm a little disappointed. Firstly, it definitely runs small. I am usually a perfect modcloth large... I have 3 other dresses from modcloth, all larges, and they all fit like a glove. But this dress is SKIN TIGHT. It is a stretchy material (except for the waistband which is ribbon and has no give at all), but it literally hugs every single curve. Not appropriate for teaching high school for sure! The skirt is definitely too straight if you have hips like me, but it would probably work if you are petite. It's an adorable dress, but I would definitely say size up if you want to be able to breathe. The material seems to me to be decent quality except for the zipper. I had issues getting it unzipped over the waistband before I had even put it on. It likes to get stuck. Haven't decided if I'm going to return yet... Even with the flaws, it's still a darling dress! It would be great for formal occasions that maybe aren't so professional.

This dress is very cute, but it's a little too short and tight for the office. The skirt portion rides up, which is not appropriate for a work setting. I wanted to love it (and it is adorable!) but the uses, for me at least, are limited outside work. I had to send it back!
