Creative Thesis Defense Cardigan

I was hesitant to but this cardigan/wrap because of some on the reviews.I was under the impression that it was difficult to wrap, very large and just plain awkward looking. I decided to ignore most of the reviews because I love black and white strips and I'm very happy i did. I ordered a small to make up for the large fit and it fits perfectly. I found it easy (after looking at the picture) to wrap it and it looks very cute. My only wish is that when I wrapped it around my neck i wish the front was as long as the back. All in all i am very happy. Its and very interesting piece to have and very comfortable.Can't wait for fall so i can wear it!

I was anticipating this piece and looking forward to the various ways it could be worn. Sadly, I'll be returning. The good: the material is soft and the garment is well made. The bad: I couldn't get it to look nearly as nice as the picture despite many attempts. There seems to be too much material to make it have an organized appearance (as shown). The small fit closer to a medium. Neither open front nor wrapped style looked particularly good - it just seemed to add bulk to my frame (what woman wants to do that?!). The length is too long for a shorter frame and due to this the back sags with extra material. The arms come to mid-palm on me and the armhole area looks like a bat's wing. The wrapped version almost looks straight-jacket-ish. I imagine this could look very nice on taller ladies who would have the stature to pull it off. I wish Modcloth would have one shot of all items on a real model - it would help to put things in perspective for shoppers.

I'm so confused. I ordered this because I thought the open front design was cute. Imagine my surprise when I received this package over the weekend and it's a wrap! I wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known it was a wrap because they make my waist look too chunky. This picture is of a sweater, as far as I can tell, not a wrap. It's cute if you like wraps, but I don't, so it's getting returned.
