I'm running a fever right now. I've got the shakes, and my most important muscle, my heart, is aching. All because of this impeccable, sequined capelet. It's fueled my shine flu - stirred the sursurrations of longing in my soul. At some point in my past, I was infected with an irrepressible love for shiny things. It probably started when I was a wee one - you know, "Oh look! Something shiny!" and it has yet to stop. This innovative top, with shimmery sequins running over its body like chills of liquid silver, makes my shine fever run virulent. A combination of vest and detachable capelet, this top makes the temperature around me rise. Red, silver, gold, and green floral patches boil up from the mysterious black of this garment's background, while the Edwarian-esque ruffled collar and nipped peplum waist, longer in back than in front, make my stomach churn with the butterflies of desire. The only remedy for this seriously stylish disease may be to get my hands on this capelet once and for all. I might unsnap the flounced capelet from the vest and close the two front eye and hooks over a white, cotton blouse and jeans as I head out for a night of wild dancing. Or, I might leave the top layer attached and slip the whole over a simple black cocktail dress as I head to a funky arts benefit. Either combination, or a host of others, will surely act as a palliative for the insatiable shining I've taken to this capelet.
