What is Pre-Order?

Our pre-order program allows you early access to next season's hottest trends. By pre-ordering an item, you are essentially buying it in advance of it being in stock. We will place a deposit on your credit card, and you just have to wait for it to become available! The moment it does, we'll ship it right out to you!

What advantages are there to pre-ordering an item?

Our indie designers are so popular that their designs often sell out fast! By pre-ordering an item, you guarantee that you'll receive your item before it sells out. When you pre-order an item, we'll place a deposit on your card, and the moment the item arrives in stock, we'll send it right out to you.

Why is ModCloth placing a deposit on my card?

In order to confirm your pre-order, we need to charge your account up front. We do this by placing a deposit on your card in the full amount of the pre-order items you've purchased.

When will I get my fantastic new item?

At this time, pre-order items are only eligible for standard shipping. Items will be shipped out individually as soon as they arrive in stock, typically 3-6 days. We charge a discounted shipping rate of $4 for each pre-order item.

What if my order consists of both pre-order and in stock item?

If you buy items that are in stock, along with pre-order items, you have the option to chose expedite shipping at check out for only those items currently in stock. All pre-order items will arrive to you via standard shipping when they become in stock.

If I pre-ordered several items at the same time, will they be shipped together?

Pre-order items will be shipped to you the moment they arrive in stock, so you can show them off as soon as possible! Since pre-order items may arrive in stock on different dates, they will be shipped to you at different times to ensure that you don't have to wait! However, if you buy multiple items in the same style, they will be grouped together and sent to you in the same shipment.

Can I apply my gift certificate or coupon code to pre-orders?

You can apply a percentage off discount code to your pre-order items, however, at this time, we cannot accept any other coupon codes or gift certificates. If your order contains both in stock items and pre-order items, your other discounts, coupon codes, and/or gift certificates will only apply to the regular, in stock items you are purchasing.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

We get it - sometimes you just change your mind! If you'd like to cancel your pre-order, please call our Customer Care department at 1-888-495-9699.
